Terms & Conditions | Noor Recipes – Website Usage Agreement
Terms & Conditions | Noor Recipes
Last Updated: September 23, 2025
Effective Date: October 15, 2024
Hey there! These are the basic ground rules for using Noor Recipes. I’ve tried to write them in normal English because legal documents shouldn’t require a law degree to understand. By using this website, you’re agreeing to these terms, but don’t worry, they’re pretty straightforward and fair.
Table of Contents
Acceptance of Terms
By visiting Noor Recipes, reading our content, subscribing to our newsletter, or interacting with our website in any way, you agree to follow these terms and conditions. If you don’t agree with any part of these terms, please don’t use our website.
These terms apply to everyone who visits the site, whether you’re browsing recipes, signed up for the newsletter, or just passing through from a Google search.
Legal Note: These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Noor Bennett (that’s me), the owner and operator of Noor Recipes.
Using Our Recipes & Content
I want you to actually use these recipes! Here’s what you can and can’t do with the content on Noor Recipes:
What You CAN Do:
- Cook the recipes for your family, friends, or personal use
- Share recipe links on social media, with friends, or on your own blog
- Print recipes for your personal kitchen use
- Modify recipes to suit your family’s tastes, dietary needs, or ingredient availability
- Share your results and tag us on social media. I love seeing your creations!
What You CAN’T Do:
- Copy and republish entire recipes or blog posts on your own website or blog without permission
- Use our content commercially (like in a cookbook you’re selling) without written permission
- Remove credit when sharing recipes. Always link back to the original post
- Claim our recipes as your own original creations
- Use our photos without permission (I took those pictures in my actual kitchen!)
Fair Use Guidelines:
Want to share a recipe on your blog or social media? Here’s how to do it right:
- Share 1-2 sentences of description plus the link to the full recipe
- Always credit “Noor from Noor Recipes” and link back to the original post
- Use your own photos or ask permission to use ours
When in doubt, just share the link. That is always okay.
Your Comments & Contributions
I love hearing from you! When you comment on recipes, email me photos, or share your cooking experiences, here’s what we both agree to:
Your Rights:
- You own any photos, stories, or content you send to us
- You can ask me to remove your comments or contributions anytime
- You’ll always be credited if I share your content (with your permission)
Your Responsibilities:
- Don’t post anything offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate
- Be respectful to me and other commenters
- Don’t spam or post purely promotional content
- Only share content that you have the right to share
- Be honest in your reviews and feedback
What I Can Do:
- Remove comments that violate these guidelines
- Block users who repeatedly post inappropriate content
- Use your feedback to improve recipes (with credit to you)
- Share your success stories or photos with your permission
Reality check: I’ve never had to remove a comment or block anyone. Our community is pretty awesome. Let’s keep it that way!
Intellectual Property Rights
Let’s be clear about who owns what around here:
What I Own:
- The Noor Recipes name and logo (trademark pending)
- Original recipe content including my specific instructions, tips, and variations
- All photographs on the website (unless otherwise noted)
- Blog posts and written content including my personal stories and cooking advice
- Website design and layout
What I Don’t Own:
- Traditional recipes (like basic roast chicken, those belong to humanity)
- Common cooking techniques (sautéing garlic is not my invention)
- Your variations and modifications to the recipes
- Your photos and stories that you share with us
Copyright Protection:
All content on Noor Recipes is protected by copyright law. This doesn’t mean you can’t use it, just follow the guidelines above. If you see someone stealing our content, I’d appreciate a heads up at Contact@noorrecipes.com.
Important Disclaimers
I need to be upfront about a few things:
Food Safety & Dietary Information:
- Food Safety: Follow proper food safety guidelines. I include basic advice, but you’re responsible for safe handling, cooking temperatures, and storage
- Allergies: Always check ingredients if you have food allergies. I mention common allergens when I think of them, but I might miss something
- Dietary Restrictions: Recipe labels (like “gluten-free” or “dairy-free”) are based on ingredients I used. Always verify for your specific needs
- Nutritional Information: Any nutritional data is approximate and shouldn’t replace professional dietary advice
Cooking Results:
- Recipe Success: I test every recipe multiple times, but ovens vary, ingredients differ, and sometimes cooking just doesn’t go as planned
- Cooking Times: Use them as guidelines. Your oven, pan size, and ingredient variations will affect timing
- Equipment: Recipes assume basic kitchen equipment. I’ll mention if you need anything special
Health & Medical Disclaimer:
I’m a chef and a dad, not a doctor or nutritionist. While I share what works for my family and try to create balanced meals, nothing on this site should be considered medical or professional dietary advice. If you have specific health conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements, please consult with appropriate healthcare professionals.
Limitation of Liability
Here’s the legal stuff I have to include (but explained in normal language):
What I’m Not Responsible For:
- Cooking disasters: If a recipe doesn’t turn out or you burn dinner, I’m sorry, but I can’t be held legally responsible
- Food-related illness: Follow proper food safety. I’m not liable if you don’t cook meat to safe temperatures or eat something that’s gone bad
- Kitchen accidents: Be careful with knives, hot surfaces, and cooking equipment
- Website downtime: Sometimes technology breaks. I’ll fix it as fast as I can
- Third-party links: If I link to another website, I’m not responsible for their content or practices
Damages Limitation:
In the unlikely event that something goes wrong and it’s somehow legally my fault, any damages would be limited to what you paid to use the website (which is nothing, since it’s free).
Legal Language: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOOR BENNETT AND NOOR RECIPES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE.
User Conduct Guidelines
Be a decent human being. Seriously, that’s the main rule. But here are some specifics:
Don’t Do These Things:
- Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or personal attacks
- Share illegal content or promote dangerous activities
- Spam the comments or try to sell stuff to other users
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the website
- Impersonate me or anyone else
- Share other people’s personal information without permission
Consequences:
If you violate these guidelines, I might:
- Remove your comments or contributions
- Block you from commenting in the future
- Remove you from the email newsletter
- In extreme cases, report serious violations to appropriate authorities
I really don’t want to do any of that. I’d much rather we all just get along and cook good food together.
Account Termination
Since we don’t have user accounts, this is pretty simple:
- Newsletter: You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email
- Website Access: You can stop using the website whenever you want
- Data Removal: Email me if you want all your information deleted from our systems
- My Rights: I can block access to users who violate these terms, but I’d rather just have a conversation and work it out
Changes to These Terms
Sometimes I might need to update these terms. When I do:
- I’ll post the updated version on this page with a new date
- If it’s a major change, I’ll email newsletter subscribers about it
- You’ll have 30 days to review any significant changes
- Continued use of the website means you accept the updated terms
I’ll always try to make changes that are clearer and more user-friendly, not more restrictive.
External Links Policy
Sometimes I link to other websites, maybe for kitchen equipment I recommend, ingredient sources, or just interesting food-related content. Here’s what you should know:
- I’m not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of other websites
- I don’t necessarily endorse everything on linked sites
- Some links might be affiliate links (I’ll always disclose this)
- External sites have their own terms and privacy policies
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New York State and the United States. If we ever have a legal dispute (which I hope we never do), it would be handled in New York courts.
Dispute Resolution: Before any legal action, let’s try to work things out directly. Email me at legal@noorrecipes.com with any concerns, and I’ll do my best to resolve them quickly and fairly.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be legally invalid, the rest of them still apply. Think of it like a recipe: if one ingredient doesn’t work, you don’t throw out the whole dish.
Entire Agreement
These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, represent our complete agreement about your use of Noor Recipes. They replace any previous agreements or understandings we might have had.

The Bottom Line
Look, these terms boil down to this: be respectful, use common sense, follow basic food safety, and give credit where it’s due. I want you to cook these recipes, share them with people you care about, and enjoy the process. These terms are just here to protect both of us so we can keep doing what we love, sharing good food and building a community around our kitchens.
If you ever have questions about these terms or need clarification on anything, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d rather have a conversation than a legal issue any day.
Thanks for being part of the Noor Recipes community, and happy cooking!
These terms were written by a real person (me, Noor) who believes legal documents should be understandable. Common sense and kindness remain the best policies.
